Michelle Havran

Michelle attended Indiana State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education & Exercise. She went on to receive her Personal Training Certification from N.A.S.M. Michelle began her career at Omni 41, where she worked as a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. In 1995, she was promoted to Blade N' Skate Manager, while continuing to do Personal Training as a part time job. She went on to work at St. Mary Medical Center at The Collective Image as the Fitness Team Leader. She is now certified by the American Council on Exercise. Her position at the Lan-Oak Park District includes managing the Fitness Center and Outdoor Pool, in addition to administering all Lan-Oak Park District Fitness classes. |

Michael has completed his degree in Recreation Administration at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. During school, Michael was on the football team as well as participating in the school's rec club. During his time at St. Francis, he was accepted into the Rho Phi Lambda Honors Fraternity. Michael is also very active with the Illinois High School Association as an official. He officiates football, basketball, volleyball and baseball. His roll in the I.H.S.A. organization is enforcing the rules of the game and promoting sportsmanship. |

Julie attended Aurora University where she received her Master of Science degree in Recreation Administration. Julie also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science Education. Before joining the Lan-Oak Park District, Julie taught eighth grade French, pre-school, and youth art. Her experience at various park districts and special recreation associations serves her well in her role as the Lan-Oak Park District’s Recreation Supervisor. |
